About Whitney Lawless
A little about who I am and how I work:
I have always been curious about the language the body speaks and how we learn to ignore, bypass, attack, and occasionally listen to it. This curiosity has led me through many lives as a teacher, massage therapist, theatrical performer, and parent.
I am a neurodivergent, white femme from Seattle, currently able-bodied and educated. I am passionate about bridging the healing of the body with the contexts in which we live. Having personally experienced the distress of hyperactive nervous system activations, I approach my somatic therapy work with deep compassion. For those who have experienced trauma, complex PTSD, or relational wounding, restoring self-trust and connection can feel remarkably hard to achieve. This is the territory we’ll explore together.
As a relational somatic therapist, I won't sit back and "mmm hmmm" at you. You will hear me laugh. I might ask what it's like to live in your body. Healing is not linear, sometimes it gets weird, and I'm here for it. Together, we'll work to identify what matters most to you and how to hold that in relationship with yourself and the world in a way that brings real relief.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
